When you are waiting for the house to sell

Isaiah 40:31

Those who wait on the Lord receive renewed strength.

When you are waiting for the house to sell. There is usually more happening here than the obvious problem. There is a difference between acknowledging reality and surrendering your identity to it. One is wisdom. The other is captivity. Waiting is not proof that God has forgotten you. Jesus Christ is present in the part of the story that has no visible movement yet. Bring the real problem to Jesus Christ, not the polished version. He already knows what is underneath.

What story are you attaching to this situation that Jesus Christ never said about you?

Jesus Christ, show me what is true in this situation and expose the story I have added to it. Give me wisdom for my part, courage to obey You, and enough trust to leave the outcome in Your hands. Amen.
